Indication: Cervical facet joint syndrome, most often due to degeneration

Target: Facet joint, most often at the level of C3-C4, C4-C5 and C5-C6

Procedure:

  • - Patient is placed supine on the CT table
    - Axial scan from C0 to the level of infiltration for targeting
    - Lateral approach with a 25 gauche spinal needle
    - CT fluoroscopic guidance for fast and correct needle tip placement at the level of the C1-C2 facet joint
    - Steroid injection

Danger: Easy procedure, without any particular risk
