Indication: Foraminal or postforaminal symptomatic radicular conflict

Target: Spinal ganglion: lateral aspect of neuroforamen at the level of the facet joint frontline.

Procedure:

  • - Patient in prone position
  • - Axial scan (generally at the lower three lumbar levels) to locate target slice and chek concordance between symptoms and radiological findings
  • - Posterolateral approach
  • - CT-fluoroscopy guided direct puncture from skin to the anterior aspect facet joint, at the neuroforaminal exit, in front of the spinal ganglion with a 22 gauge needle.
  • - Steroid injection
